Upcoming TfL Knowledge Lunches

25 June 2018

TSSA is continuing to hold its popular Knowledge Lunches. These are one hour seminars in which subject matter experts provide briefings on key areas of employment rights and other issues important to TfL staff. This monthÂ’s sessions will focus on Mental Health & Wellbeing.

Tuesday 26th June, 12:00 - 13:00. 172 Buckingham Palace Road, Room 1C.
Tuesday 3rd July, 12:00 - 13:00. Pier Walk, O5GMR1
Tuesday 10th July, 13:00 - 14:00. Palestra, West Brompton 8YM1
Tuesday 17th July, 12:00 - 13:00. Endeavour Square, 3RMR01

With TfL staff reporting record stress levels due to high workloads and concerns over job security, all at the same time as management are cutting back the counselling support that used to be available through Occupational Health, the elephant in the room is the emerging mental health crisis at TfL.

This month we are delighted to welcome as guest presenter Steve Loft, the founder of WellMent, TfL's mental health peer support network. Steve recently retired from TfL and is now working in the mental health field. The purpose of these sessions is to help you identify the causes of stress and direct you to the support that is available.

There will be a chance to discuss the subject and ask questions. All staff are welcome to attend and lunch is provided. No booking required.

We will be organising further Knowledge Lunches on subjects including

  • Flexible working

  • Pension & Retirement

  • Neurodiversity

  • Young workers and many more..

Details for all upcoming events will be advertised via our regular Comms and on TU notice boards
