TSSA in LU

TSSA is an active trade union in London Underground. We have members across managerial and technical staff and a wide range of operations as well as an active group of TSSA London Underground union reps.

TSSA represents clerical and management grades in Head Office locations, as well as Station operation including  Customer Service Assistants, Station Assistants, Customer Service Supervisors, Station Assistant Multi Functional, Revenue Control Inspectors and Customer Service Managers, Station Supervisors, Duty Station Managers and Group Station Managers

Representation is both collective and individual and is covered under a bespoke framework agreement which is different to the TfL recognition framework.

Worried and need help?

TfL provides a free and confidential helpline that’s available to you and your immediate family and can help with more than you think. The Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) is available  24/7 over the phone (0800 470 2129) and via a website (you need an access code, check with work or or your TSSA rep). This is not just for medical or mental health worries, or workplace issues.

They provide unlimited access to advice and information, emotional support, coaching and counselling where appropriate for a range of issues including:

  • Anxiety, stress, low mood and other difficult states of mind
  • Bereavement
  • Medical concerns
  • Home issues practical information and support
  • Financial/legal matters such as managing debt; buying a house; consumer issues; probate; landlord issues; budget planning
  • Family matters
  • Relationship problems
  • Work issues, including: Change in the workplace; Stress and pressure; Employment dismissal

You can call the helpline at any time and in confidence; try to call at an early stage to prevent issues from developing into more serious problems.

If you are a TSSA member and are looking for advice or assistance in connection with your employment or membership, you can contact our Members’ Helpdesk.

We can advise on a range of workplace issues including; discipline and grievance hearing, maternity rights and redundancy.

Helpdesk opening hours: 09:00 - 17:00 Monday - Thursday  |  09:00 - 16:00 Friday
