National Minimum Wage

The national minimum wage is revised each year in October and has four levels. As at October 2010 the hourly rate for workers aged 21+ is £5.93, for workers aged 18-20 it is £4.92, for workers aged 16-17 it is £3.64 and for apprentices it is £2.50.

From October 2011 the rates will rise to £6.08, $4.98, £3.68 and £2.60, respectively.
