Pease download and print a pdf of this circular for your workplace noticeboard:   Amey Rail Section Railway Pensions Scheme Committee Vacancy

TSSA members who are members of the AMEY RAIL section of the Railways Pension Scheme (RPS) are invited to nominate for the position of Member Appointee for the TSSA seat on the Amey Rail Section Pensions Committee.

The successful candidate will be entitled to paid release to attend these meetings.

Only members of the Amey Rail section are eligible for this position.

Please note that, in addition to several defined contribution (“DC” or “money purchase”) schemes, Amey operates two sections of the Railway Pensions Scheme; the Owen Williams Section and the Amey Rail Section. Because our union does not have access to individual members’ pension arrangements, this circular has been sent to all Amey members.

Committee meetings make decisions on investments, applications for certain pension benefits from individual members and overall management and administration of the scheme that is in the best interests of members and the pension scheme.

For a role description and more information on key responsibilities please click here: Pensions Committee Job Description.

The Pension Administrators and TSSA offer a comprehensive training in which you will be entitled to paid release from duties to attend.

If you wish to stand for this position, please let us know by contacting Matt Barrow, TSSA Organiser via email at barrowm@tssa.org.uk no later than Friday 1 December 2017.

You will need to complete a nomination form, available here   Amey Rail RPS Committee Nomination Form, which will need to be supported by six signatures from fellow TSSA active pension scheme members.

Successful candidates will be notified as soon as practicable after the closing date.

If we have more than one nominee, there will be a vote of TSSA members to decide who will take up this important role.
