  3. TSSA supports TfL furlough but calls on government for more support

    Following extensive talks with Transport for London, transport union TSSA is today supporting moves by the company to furlough staff up to 31 May, or the minimum three week period. The move comes after the government refused to provide financial support for TfL unless staff were furloughed.

  8. Freightliner - Furlough

    TSSA and the company have come to an agreement on a job retention (Furlough) scheme in order to protect jobs and prevent redundancies. Furlough is a new term introduced by the government as part of their ‘Job Retention Scheme’. It is a short-term measure to allow companies to keep staff employed rather than making redundancies.

  9. DB Cargo - Furlough of Staff during Covid-19 Pandemic -Ground Staff

    DB Cargo have today consulted with TSSA on their intention to "Furlough" staff. Furlough or Job retention Scheme as its also known, is an initiative to ensure employers can, where work has drastically reduced or has stopped, ensure staff are retained whilst being paid at 80 per cent of their basic salaries rather than being made redundant.
