Annual conference

TSSA’s Annual Conference is the supreme governing body of the union.

Conference is held every year, in May or June, running from Sunday to Wednesday. In 2012, Conference will meet in Cardiff and will run from Sunday 13th to Wednesday 16th May.

Every branch is entitled to send a delegate to Conference (two delegates for larger branches), and to submit two motions for debate. Delegates are reimbursed loss of pay and travel, and receive an allowance for accommodation.

TSSA’s policies are determined by Annual Conference, and are binding on all members and officials. Annual Conference provides a firm democratic framework for the Association, and all members can participate in this democracy through their branch.
