Call to Nominations - President & Ireland EC Member

Due to the ineligibility of a previous President candidate to stand, and in accordance with Rule 9.2, the election for the post of President is being re-run. Therefore, members should consider the previous Presidential election as “Null & Void”.

 On 1 July 2025, TSSA Support Services emailed all Branch Correspondence Secretaries inviting Branches to nominate candidates for President and also for the Ireland EC member, which has become available due to the previous Ireland EC member standing down and creating a casual vacancy.

If you are considering standing and are unsure of your eligibility, please contact Support Services for advice. Branches are expected to carry out due diligence on candidates they nominate. TSSA Head Office will also conduct its own eligibility checks. 

All successfully nominated candidates will be asked to sign-up to a candidate code of conduct for the duration of the election period, which all candidates will be expected to adhere to. 

All candidates and their supporters will be expected to avoid negative campaigning, engaging in any discriminatory behaviour towards any other candidates or members of the TSSA and uphold the integrity of the Association. Candidates and their supporters must not bring TSSA into disrepute through their words or actions. 

The deadline for nominations is Tuesday 12 August 2025.
