Politics Fund

Our Political Fund gives our members a political voice. With just a small contribution from individual members, it has provided opportunities for a string of TSSA victories, helping to win public ownership of the railways, greater employment rights, and saving our ticket offices. It’s a prime example of how we’re stronger when we pull together. 

The law says that unions must have a separate Political Fund to spend on political campaigning and that members who joined the union after March 2018 and before 18 February 2026 must actively opt in to the fund. You may choose to opt out at any time.

Opting into the fund costs only an additional 3.5% of your current subscription rate, which will be allocated to the fund.
