Training neurodiversity champions

Neurodiversity champions

TSSA is funded by the Union Learning Fund to run a neurodiversity awareness project. A very important objective of the project is to train TSSA members in the skills and knowledge they need to screen, support and negotiate on behalf of Neurodiverse members.

Champions may be involved in:

  • doing a confidential hidden disabilities screener with a member
  • advising on the process of screening, disclosure, assessment, and negotiating reasonable adjustments.

Talking to a Neurodiversity champion or rep is the first step for many individuals. It can help people realise that they are not alone. Our Neurodiversity champions will help TSSA members level the playing field and achieve their full potential at work.

Neurodiversity training

We will be holding  neurodiversity training courses in the Autmn of 2015 for TSSA members and reps.

If there are a number of reps in your workplace we can set up neurodiversity awareness training for you as a group; alternatively if you are an individual you can join a scheduled course.

If you would like to find out more please email Adèle Potten-Price at
