        Cheryl O'Brien

Our executive committee is responsible for managing and supervising the affairs of the association, and for determining and directing policy in between annual conferences.

The executive committee meets ten times a year at our head office, Walkden House.

Executive committee members are elected by secret ballot of the members in their divisional council area, normally for a three-year term of office.

Cheryl O’Brien represents Wales and Western Divisional Council on the Executive Committee.

Cheryl works at Arriva Trains Wales and has been involved with the union for almost 20 years, starting as a staff rep and holding positions at Branch, Divisional Council and Company level over the years.

This is Cheryl's first term of office on the Executive, she says "I am looking forward to the challenges to come, and to driving change within the union. TSSA is about its members and being a union that is there for its members. For me, education is the key, giving our reps strength through knowledge. My aspiration is to give all members accessibility to a union they can be proud of and to encouraging all members to become involved in Branch and Divisional Council activity. My vision is that we become open and accessible to our members and be ready to celebrate our successes."
