TSSA Executive Committee Meeting - 18 – 19 February 2025

The February EC meeting kept on a finance theme, with the budget for the next financial year being the main point of focus. It was also centered around preparing for the union’s formal audit.
This was the final meeting for input in the budget, and it came back to the EC with revisions based on feedback from EC members from the last meeting.
We also received updates on all areas of the union's work, including progress in planning the TSSA’s upcoming Annual Conference, democratic tasks and the work the union has done to action motions and rule changes passed at last year’s Annual Conference.

Summary of Agenda
- The EC were presented with the revised budget for 2025-2026 and after further discussion and input by the EC, was approved for the coming financial year;
- EC members received an update from several EC subcommittees, including the Audit Committee;
- The EC discussed plans for the TSSA Annual Conference 2025;
- The EC were updated on democratic matters in relation to the TSSA Annual Conference, including finding out more about recent communications sent out to members;
- The EC were updated on TSSA democracy, including live EC elections;
- Staff updated the EC on progress made since the 2024 TSSA Annual Conference, including progress on taking forward actions from motions that were passed;
- EC members received a presentation on progress with developing the union’s strategic plan and what next steps would be;
- The EC reviewed the correspondence received since the last EC meeting.
