Network Rail dispute update

Over the past 2 days, Network Rail issued communications about the special voluntary severance scheme (VSS), some of which TSSA disagrees with. Network Rail have acknowledged this and we have issued a joint statement (see below) that clarifies the position.

Over the past few days, Network Rail issued communications about the special voluntary severance scheme (VSS), some of which TSSA disagrees with. 

TSSA does not agree that all aspects of VSS are outside of collective bargaining. This forms part of the formal discussions that we are having through the Avoidance of Dispute process. 

We continue to have talks to resolve the differences that we have for the benefit of our colleagues. TSSA have provided constructive challenge, which Network Rail has welcomed. Both parties will meet next week to seek common ground.
