CrossCountry Trains - Industrial Action - Cancelled

TSSA has been in talks with the Rail Delivery Group (RDG) since last Monday 7th November following an invite from them for us to enter into "intense" talks, with a view to agreeing a resolution to the pay dispute.

As you will be aware, we have been asking the DfT and TOCs to meet with us for months now to end this dispute and finally they have agreed to come to the negotiating table. This is down to you and the strength and determination you have shown by taking industrial action.

It is normal practice to suspend industrial action during a period of negotiations to allow both sides to negotiate in good faith. That is why the decision has been made to CANCEL the planned industrial action for 18th November 2022.

Once we have information to share, and please understand that these talks are incredibly sensitive and confidential, so until we have negotiated and agreed a full package, not just a salary increase, but assurances such as job security and that there will be no detrimental changes to your T&CS, we cannot share any information.

I would encourage you to speak to your colleagues who are not yet TSSA members and get them to join as you need to be as strong as possible and ensure your voice is heard when it comes to changes that may be negotiated for your grades.

I would strongly suggest that you also ensure your grade group is represented at the forthcoming talks where decisions will be made about your jobs, your futures, your T&CS and your pay. TSSA is looking for staff reps and key contacts per grade group to ensure when the time comes we can liase with you quickly and efficiently and make the right choices and decisions for you.
