TSSA and Pride
Pride in our members
About
Pride season – a time to celebrate, reflect, and stand together.
At TSSA, we proudly support our LGBTQ+ members and their right to celebrate Pride in the way that’s most meaningful to them – whether that’s through joyful expression, powerful protest, or quiet reflection.
Recent reports show that the UK has fallen to 22nd position in international rankings for LGBTQ+ rights, with growing concerns about equality, safety, and representation. At TSSA, we know it’s vital to stand in solidarity with LGBTQ+ workers across the transport and travel industries, not just during Pride, but every day of the year.
Pride Is Personal and Political
Pride is not just a party. It’s a statement. A stand. A celebration of identity and a demand for justice. As a union, we honour the roots of Pride in protest and continue to push for progress in our workplaces, our communities, and across society.
Your Pride, Your Voice
TSSA believes in the freedom of all members to express themselves authentically. We support every member’s right to participate in Pride in the way that reflects their truth, whether that’s marching, organising, educating, or simply being visible.
TSSA at Pride Events
We are excited to know that many of our members will be attending Pride events across the country. These celebrations are an important opportunity to show our support for the LGBTQ+ community and to promote inclusivity and equality.
As you participate in these vibrant events, we encourage you to share your experiences on social media. Don’t forget to tag @TssaUnion in your posts and photos! We would love to see how you’re celebrating and supporting Pride. Your contributions help us spread awareness and highlight the importance of solidarity within our community.
Let’s make our presence known together! Enjoy the celebrations!
