TSSA today extended sympathy to the 43 passengers and driver involved in the school bus crash yesterday in County Down Northern Ireland

The double decker school bus, an Ulsterbus service, toppled over in the Carrowdore area of the Ards Peninsula at around 4pm yesterday. Firefighters, a Charity Air Ambulance and paramedics attended the scene, and four children were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

TSSA General Secretary Maryam Eslamdoust said, "Our thoughts are with the children, driver, families, and all those affected by this distressing accident. While we are relieved that the injuries are not life-threatening, this incident highlights the critical importance of safety measures for school transport"
