TSSA today warned Translink that Managerial, Professional and Technical (MPT) staff will commence action short of a strike on 30th July if they do not make an acceptable pay offer to their staff.

Staff in the MPT grades previously voted by over 80% in favour of strike action. Strikes due to take place over the weekend of the Irish Open were averted after Translink made an improved offer. However this offer has now been turned down by the MPT grades and action short of a strike will commence next week.

Commenting, TSSA General Secretary Maryam Eslamdoust said: “Our members in the MPT grades are only asking for a fair offer in line with that received by other grades in Translink. We remain open for talks at any time.”
