TSSA Statement - independent inquiry

Following recent allegations against TSSA, the following decisions and actions have been taken:

TSSA will meet with TUC General Secretary Frances O’Grady to establish an independent investigation. TSSA will be a full and willing participant in this.

TSSA General Secretary Manuel Cortes has voluntarily stepped back from discussions and decision making around these issues. He fully supports the decision to have an independent investigation.

The union will reconsider the use of settlement agreements with staff going forwards.

TSSA will be open to suggestions and hopes to achieve full transparency going forwards and will not be seeking further injunctions or similar legal action.
