TSSA names strike dates for RfLI members
Controllers on the Elizabeth line employed by Rail for London (Infrastructure) were recently balloted for strike action and action short of strike after their pay offer fell well short of their request for pay parity in London.
90% of members voted yes for strike action and 96% voted for action short of strike and with a 86% turnout, they more than met the strike thresholds. Congratulations to the reps for getting the vote out in a relatively short timeframe, it shows the strength of feeling on this issue.
On Friday 31 October, TSSA notified the employer of two 24 hour periods of strike action. Members in control will be taking strike action starting at 19:00 on Friday14 November to 18:59 Saturday 15 November 2025 and also from 19:00 Sunday 16 November to 18:59 Monday 17 November 2025.
This comes after several opportunities to talk with the employer and Transport for London, but no offer meeting the members' demands for pay parity. Controllers for RfLI receive the lowest wages of comparable jobs at London Underground, DLR and Network Rail and have been getting worse since the last significant change in 2023.
However, we are still trying to reach an agreement and have further talks with the employer on Tuesday (4 November) morning.
