Avanti West Coast Ballot Results

Our ballot for industrial action closed at 12 Noon today Tuesday 23 November 2021.

I can confirm that you have voted YES for industrial action consisting of a strike (84.7%) and YES for industrial action short of a strike (89%).

This is a great result for TSSA members and reps at Avanti, and the massive YES vote for both strike action and action short of a strike demonstrates that staff demand their voices are heard by the employer.

TSSA reps will now be considering next steps in the forthcoming days. I am pleased to report that as a result of this and the RMT’s ballot the company has already agreed to meet next week with a view to resolving the issues in dispute.

No      17       15.3%

What you can do

Ask a colleague to join TSSA – only TSSA members can take part industrial action sanctioned by TSSA. Anybody joining before potential industrial action takes place will be covered by the relevant legal protection.
