DB Cargo – TSSA Merger Ballot – We Need Your Vote

As I’m sure you will all be aware and will have received a ballot form, that TSSA is balloting all members on a potential merger between our union and that of the American Union the IBB. This will be the first ever Trans-Atlantic merger between a UK based trade union and an American union and will secure the future of TSSA.

If we merge with the IBB it will bring financial stability and allow TSSA to employ more staff, we will employ more organisers who will campaign and represent you and your needs, we will seek to organise in different areas which in turn will grow our membership and ensure TSSA’s success.

The merger has been fully endorsed by your General Secretary and your Executive Committee but for the merger to be sanctioned there has be a vote of the members and of course like any ballot, the majority must vote in favour.

I would ask every one of you to use your vote and to vote YES to the merger.
