TPE: Pay Letter sent to TPE
Dear TPE member,
I have written to the company today highlighting our members’ concerns about the current situation on pay and you can see my letter to the company at the bottom of this page.
In it I outline all our members general concerns around the differential in the pay offer currently on the table for ASLEF but specifically highlighting the need to protect the pay differential for Driver Managers and Operations Development Managers and not allowing Pay Erosion to take place. Although I have also taken the opportunity to raise concerns regarding future productivity talks with ASLEF.
I also highlight the fact the General Grades are still awaiting a formal pay offer for 2023 and the fact that all of our members irrespective of Grade want no less than is on offer for the Drivers.
I’ve reminded them of our desire to achieve a Collective Bargaining Agreement for our CDM and Senior CDM members which is taking too long to resolve in my opinion despite a request several weeks ago and also that I plan to lodge a request for a Collective Bargaining Agreement to cover the ODM’s and Driver Managers, which I have followed through on today with a formal letter of request.
We now have the majority of members in both groups of Managers and so if there are other Groups interested in winning Collective Bargaining then please recruit your colleagues and encourage them to join at www.tssa.org.uk/join even in those areas that we have made the request more members and stronger membership density weakens any arguments that the company might raise to suggest that people do not want to have the independent collective voice that a Collective Bargaining Agreement brings. It also means that anyone who is a member will have a full ability to either stand to represent their colleagues or nominate and potentially vote on who their representatives should be. Not to mention having a say in what we do collectively on your behalf.
