WMT Pay Claim 2024

Thanks to all TSSA members at West Midlands Trains who used their voice in our 2024 General Grades' pay survey. Your reps have considered the responses and reflected your priorities alongside TSSA policies to formulate a pay claim document that is being put to the company before negotiations commence for those with a 1 April pay anniversary date. Discussions are ongoing to implement 2023 pay awards for jointly recognised grades at WMT. The company recently agreed the following joint statement to set out the position national position following Dispute Resolution Agreement (DRA) between TSSA and the Rail Delivery Group (RDG), as well the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) reached between RMT and the RDG.

"Dear colleagues,

 Towards the end of February, we commenced a series of meetings with Full-Time Officials from the RMT and TSSA, and your Company Council representatives, to start 2023 pay and workplace reform talks.

 In those meetings, we have put forward proposals to your representatives relating to grade specific changes or efficiencies that the Company is seeking to agree in return for a pay increase.

 Those talks are ongoing and there remains a great deal to discuss, so at this stage it would not be appropriate to issue a more detailed update. This approach has been agreed by all parties to the discussions and as soon as we are in a position to provide more detail, we will do so.

 What I can say at this stage is that to date, these talks have been conducted in a positive and collaborative manner and I think it is fair to say that all parties remain optimistic that agreements can be reached.
