TSSA General Secretary Manuel Cortes today praised the transport workers who have helped keep Britain and Ireland moving this week despite storms Dudley and Eunice.

Cortes said, “Storms Dudley and Eunice have been particularly severe. I’m extremely proud of our members in Britain and Ireland who have helped keep things moving as best - and as safely as - they can in the face of Storms Dudley and Eunice.

“I know that in some places lines are closed and that must be frustrating for those passengers who are trapped as a result. But I’m grateful for – and reassured by - the work of our members who are doing everything they can to clear lines and make our railways safe for onwards travel as soon as possible.”
