TSSA Joins Rail Industry Recovery Group

The Palace of Westminster

TSSA's Executive Committee has agreed that General Secretary, Manuel Cortes, will represent the union on the newly launched Rail Industry Recovery Group (RIRG), which has been tasked with addressing the challenges facing the rail industry as a result of the pandemic.

The overriding aim of the Group’s work is to put in place measures to help bring passengers back to our railways once again, in due course, once the pandemic has abated.

However, our union’s involvement is conditional on full engagement by all parties in this process.

You can read more about the rationale behind the creation of the RIRG in the full terms of reference – which can be found on the attached PDF document.
