The government has announced it will repeal the Strikes Act 2023 to get public services back on track and strengthen the rights of working people.

Commenting, TSSA General Secretary, Maryam Eslamdoust said: “We wholly welcome this step from the Labour government. Our union had been clear from the start that not only would Minimum Strike Levels legislation be unworkable but it was also an assault on the rights of working people.

"Clamping down on a fundamental freedom of working people was vindictive and actually unworkable, it's right for the Labour government to repeal this spiteful legislation."
