Great Western Railway: Management members update

Update on TSSA’s recent work on behalf of GWR Management members on Pay, Managers Peoples process and Engineering Reorganisation.



I’ve written to HR this week to state that we don’t want a repeat of the situation in 2017 where managers had to wait months to know what pay rise they were going to receive. I’ve also asked that as per the last two years managers receive no less of a rise than the other grades as part of the collectively agreed 3 year pay deal. Please see my letter by clicking here.

Management people process

Members might remember the correspondence and survey that TSSA ran regarding negotiations on a Managers People process for use in reorganisations.

Engineering Reorganisation

At the last Special Engineering Divisional Council meeting on Monday 4 February there was no proposals tabled on the potential further reorganisation in the management grades in Engineering. Thankfully as clarified in the company’s Fast line communication issued from that meeting TSSA will continue to represent Management and Clerical Grades via the normal Engineering Divisional council where any future changes will be consulted.
