Greater Anglia Strike Action Ballot Results

TSSA members in your company, Greater Anglia, were balloted for strike action with the ballot closing today (Thursday 25 August). 51% of TSSA members have voted. Although a majority of you that voted supported strike action, the total was below the threshold required by the law, and we are therefore unable to call you out on strike.

To be clear, a majority of you voted for strike action in Greater Anglia, but the Tory anti-union laws prevent us calling for strike action because the number of valid votes were too low by just a small number of votes. The law requires at least 40% of everyone balloted and entitled to vote to return a yes to support action.

However, you have previously voted action short of a strike and we will continue to use this option strategically to send a strong message to the company that we need to make progress on our demands over pay, job security and terms and conditions.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to vote in this important ballot.

We are liaising closely with our sister rail unions and engaging with your reps about next steps and action.

Please speak to your TSSA reps for more information and thank you again for taking part in this important ballot.
