TPE: Revenue Protection Election results 2026

A pile of ballot papers with a woman in a grey top sitting behind it holding a another paper.

I previously wrote to members to communicate the fact that we were running an Election for our Revenue Protection Company Council which closed at 12 noon on Thursday 23rd July.

This is only the second time that we have had to run a nomination and election process for the collective bargaining group since we signed the collective bargaining agreement in 2023, it is really important that members take part in these processes to ensure that you have a say in who represents you and I’m pleased that members were active in both nominating candidates and voting in this election, so thank you.

I want to express my thanks to both Mark Lloyd and Paul Nuttall for their efforts but particularly Mark as he has chosen not to stand for election and so I think we need to recognise his efforts to help create constructive relationships and working arrangements with management to deliver results for TSSA members. They have both built strong foundations for you all and your reps to build upon.

Election results

19 members participated in the vote, each member had 2 votes each, due to there currently being 2 seats on the Revenue Protection Company Council.

The results were as follows:

Name of candidateNo of votes receivedStatus
Gideon Chimponda1
Paul Nuttall19Elected
Andrew Pickard18Elected

I want to thank all of the candidates for putting themselves forward to be elected and I hope that you all welcome, particularly Andrew as a new representative, to the council. Please continue to support your reps and raise your concerns, issues and proposals with them to ensure that they can achieve results on your behalf.

Please also encourage anyone who isn’t currently a member of TSSA to join us online at www.tssa.org.uk/join
