Babcock Rail 2023 Pay offer update 28 July

Please see below results of the Pay Referendum for members in the grades covered by the collective bargaining arrangement:

Do you accept the company’s pay offer:

YES   28% of valid vote

NO    72% of valid vote

Turnout 65%

We have written to the company informing them of the referendum results.

We have also requested that we arrange a meeting as a matter of urgency to discuss how we can progress the 2023 pay issue.

We hope the company recognises the significant margin of the rejection of the current pay offer and engages with us in a meaningful way to find a pay offer that will be acceptable to members.

If we are unable to get a new and improved offer, we will be looking to ballot members on possible industrial action to ensure we get an acceptable pay rise.
