Thank you to all of you who took the time out to share with us your views of the 2022 pay offer for the management and clerical grades. You made your voices heard loud and clear in an impressive 70% turnout and you voted overwhelmingly to reject the pay offer by a whopping 75%! In addition two thirds of those members who responded indicated that they would be willing to undertake industrial action consisting of either full industrial action or action short of. We intend to use this mandate when we re-enter pay negotiations on 29/09/22 to seek an improved offer. What this response clearly shows is that you are not happy with the pay offer as it stands and you are particularly frustrated with the additional productivity elements on top of demanding pre-existing workloads. One member expressed this very clearly in their response “we're ALL stretched to our limits”.
We will formally notify the company of the referendum result and continue to update you on further developments. While it is our preference to conclude the pay discussions through negotiation we do so now knowing that we have your full backing and that you are prepared to stand up as required.
