TfW Rail Limited 2022 management and clerical pay negotiations update

Dear member

Thank you again to the high proportion of you who responded to our recent pay survey. Your strong mandate helped us progress with what have been a series of challenging pay negotiations. We made it very clear to the company that you rejected the pay offer in large numbers which has resulted in a revised offer. While the offer has improved marginally there are still conditional productivity items which we are actively negotiating. Our position from the start of these negotiations was that we were not prepared to accept a lower offer as compared to your other non-management and clerical colleagues. The company however made it very clear that the 6.5% pay offer was contingent upon a 2% element of productivity which has proved to be the biggest challenge in these negotiations.

We appreciate that this has been an incredibly drawn out process and we want to assure you that your reps are working hard to secure the best deal that they can achieve in the circumstances.
