GWR - TSSA 2024 Pay Claim Submission
Dear GWR members,
I wanted to advise you that following the pay claim survey that we conducted earlier in the year I have now submitted the TSSA 2024 pay claim for GWR and you can view the full claim below. Thank you to those of you who took the time to complete the survey, and your feedback is always of value. Whilst we are and have been in unusual times in relation pay negotiations in recent years it would be remis of me not to mention the fact that various meetings are happening between various trade unions and the Department for Transport (DFT) and I have ensured that the team that is likely to meet with DFT are briefed and aware of your aspirations in advance of any such meeting between TSSA and the DFT.
Below is a summary of the key elements of our 2024 pay claim:
- Claim for a substantial increase in basic rates of pay and other allowances that will lead to a material improvement in the standard of living for our members
- Claim for no compulsory Redundancy Agreement
- Multi-year Deal
- Making Flexibility Pay Pensionable
- Pay Transparency, Fair Pay - a comprehensive analysis of pay systems, grading structures and the operation of recruitment and selection
- A reduction in the working week to a maximum of 35 hours in a 5-day week
- Increase the basic annual leave entitlement to thirty days or 38 including public holidays
- A review of flexible working and family friendly policies, with a view to improving maternity, paternity, adoption, shared parental and family leave arrangements and making access to flexible working open to all
- Improvements to travel facilities
- Request that Great Western Railway signs up to the Dying to Work campaign and adopts its charter
- Claim to provide free period products
TSSA also wants to make it clear that our claim covers anyone employed during the bargaining year either in part or full, including those who have received a promotion.
