GWR: Update on Pay and Pensions Committee Election

Dear TSSA Members In Great Western Railway.

I am writing out to you all about 2 topics, Pay, Pensions Committee Elections

Pay

I have written to the company on Wednesday outlining our members concerns about the current situation on pay and you can see my letter to the company at the bottom of this page. In it I outline all our members general concerns around the differential in the pay offer currently on the table for ASLEF but specifically highlighting the need to protect the pay differential for Driver Standards Mangers and not allow Pay Erosion to take place.

FGW Pension Committee Election

I previously wrote out to all members advertising that the TSSA position on the FGW Pension Committee was vacant – see email here  

Following that process we have now received 2 valid nominations for the position and will therefore need to hold an election.

I have written to the 2 candidates and asked them to provide me with an election statement by 09:00am on Monday 16^th September. I will then be in place to communicate out to you all about the election process.
