2022/23 PAY: General Grades, Bands 5-8 (& equivalent), and Controllers

Members will no doubt be aware that members from all three unions have now voted to accept the offer put forward by Network Rail.

The latest offer to be accepted has a slight improvement to the one TSSA members were asked to vote on. The pay uplift of 4% for January 2023 will now be implemented from 01 October 2022.

Your TSSA negotiating team has been in touch with Network Rail and had assurances that eligible bands will receive the first £2,500(pro-rata) of backpay before the end of March.

Whilst compromises have been reached relating to Front Line Maintenance contracts, we have ensured, on your behalf, that any improvement to the pay increase will be received (including any backdated pay) by all TSSA members across the General Grades, Bands 5-8 (& equivalent), and Controllers, bargaining group.

We have also ensured that Carers will be able to get five days paid Carer's leave, without having to use Annual Leave, by swapping " Volunteer Days" for "Carer's Days". This has long been campaigned for by TSSA and is a great win for all Carers at Network Rail and will apply to all grades, including Management Grades.

Thank you again to all members for your support throughout this campaign.
