GWR 2024 Management Grades Pay acceptance
Following our members vote on the latest pay offer as contained in my last communication (click here to view). I can now announce the results of that vote.
Those in favour of accepting the Pay offer = 91%
Those in favour of rejecting the Pay offer = 9%
Turnout of Management members voting = 42%
Therefore, I have written to the company to accept the pay offer.
Clearly there were a number of issues in our pay claim that haven’t been resolved as a result of this years pay offer and so when I met with your representatives earlier this month, they have tasked me with updating the 2024 pay claim and writing to the company before the end of the month to request early pay talks for 2025 with a refreshed 2025 pay claim. This is due to the fact the members survey for 2024 was carried out recently and also with a view to trying to start talks early before budgets are set for 2025. I will write to all members in GWR with further information on our 2025 pay claim submission in the next few weeks but feel free to raise any concerns or issues with your representatives.
I am also impressed with the number of members who gave their contact details, willing to be contacted in relation to assisting to recruit their colleagues in order for us to widen the scope of the management collective bargaining so I will be working with the existing Reps in order to follow up on those individuals in the coming weeks.
