TOC's make an offer to resolve the dispute
At 11:00 today (31st January 2023) TSSA received offers from the TOC employers to resolve our dispute over pay, jobs and terms and conditions.
After some tough negotiations and months of courageous action from members, we have secured new proposals which also cover management grades, controllers and RPOs.
The employers have made two offers - one for General Grades (including Control workers and RPOs) and one for management grades.
Neither of the offers is without problems, however we are clear that they represent considerable progress on what was initially proposed in Spring 2022 or even the last offer made in December 2022. This is thanks to the determination of TSSA members to take action and the power that has given your negotiating team.
Our Union's Executive Committee will now consider the offers and discuss with your TSSA Representatives from all the TOCs at a special meeting this Thursday. This meeting will consider how we move forward.

Please take a look at the offer that applies to you and feedback to your local reps ahead of Thursday's meeting.
In the meantime, industrial action ballot papers will be issued to you from Wednesday onwards. It's still important that you vote YES and return your ballots as soon as possible so that we maintain our mandate should members wish to reject the employers proposals.
