Referendum on Network Rail Best and Final Offer

After months of detailed negotiations – and an industrial action ballot and strike action – TSSA has received a ‘Best and Final Offer’ in writing from Network Rail.

The offer has been considered by TSSA’s reps, who felt the offer addresses the core issues of the dispute sufficiently to put it to members for acceptance or rejection in a referendum.

The offer includes:

• A no compulsory redundancy agreement until 31 January 2025.
• A minimum uplift in pay of at least £1750 or a 5% pay increase, whichever is greater, backdated to 01 January 2022 (an increase of over 5% for anyone earning less than £35,000).
• 4% pay increase from 01 January 2023.
• Discretionary privileged leisure travel which provides a 75% discount on all leisure travel and includes family members.
• This offer was undoubtedly improved because of the ballot results and strike action taken by yourselves.

The offer provides job security and certainty for members through to 2025 and achieves a pay offer for all, which provides the lowest paid in the company with significant underpinning to ensure that those hardest hit by the cost-of-living crisis receive proportionately the most.

Your Reps believe this is the best offer that can be achieved through negotiation and as such are recommending acceptance of this revised offer.

As we are putting the new pay offer to you in a referendum, we have cancelled all forms of industrial action and suspended the re-ballot.
