TSSA is partnering with campaign groups We Own It, Bring Back British Rail and Association of British Commuters along with sister union RMT for this timely demo calling for Avanti and TPE to brought into public ownership.
FirstGroup runs two of our worst performing rail franchises – Avanti West Coast and TransPennine Express – which are causing misery to millions of people’s lives through record cancellations and delays. Both contracts are up for renewal this year.
Join us at the Department for Transport (DfT) in London to say enough is enough, it’s time to #KickFirstOut and bring both franchises back into public ownership now.
We will be submitting our Make West Coast Public petition - now signed by more than 12,000 people - to Transport Secretary Mark Harper MP, so please make sure you sign the petition in advance.

We can advise on a range of workplace issues including; discipline and grievance hearing, maternity rights and redundancy.
