Modernising Maintenance talks update

Network Rail engineers in high vis doing overhead wires and improvement works at Leeds station

Modernising Maintenance discussions have taken place over the past two days (Weds 10th & Thursday 11th Aug 22). Discussions have adjourned and will reconvene next week. A number of points of clarity around the proposals have been raised and we await response from Network Rail.

We remain fully committed to achieving a no compulsory redundancy agreement and have tabled a number of suggestions around on how that can be achieved. These have been taken away by the company. We await a response.

The Modernising Maintenance talks centre around proposed job cuts, changes to working practices and terms and conditions.

We are no further in progressing the wider issues of the dispute around pay. We are as always, open to discussions and to hear proposals from the company.
